Botox®, Azzalure and Bocouture are the trade names for Botulinum Toxin A.It is used to gently soften lines and wrinkles.
Who would benefit from this treatment?
If wrinkles (permanent lines from laughing, smiling, frowning etc) make you feel and look older than you are then this treatment can smooth these out and give you a more relaxed but most importantly natural expression.
Also, Botox can help lift and contour the jawline, often known as the “Nefertiti lift”.
Is Botox safe?
Botox has been approved by medical authorities in over 70 countries and is considered a very safe treatment. It is used medically for a variety of different treatments since 1977 and in the cosmetic industry over the last 20 years.
How long does the treatment take?
Most treatments take around 20 minutes and the effects start to appear usually within 2-5 days. With the maximum effect reached within 2 weeks. We always recommend a complimentary two week review for those new to this treatment.
Is the treatment uncomfortable?
It is not a painful treatment but a mild anaesthetic cream can be applied beforehand if preferred.
How long does Botox last?
The effects of the treatment lasts between 3 – 4 months. Gradually the effect will wear off and at this stage you can return to us for another treatment and with repeated treatment the muscles retrain and so the effects last longer.
How much does Botox cost?
The treatment is priced according to the number of areas treated. The frown lines between the eyebrows are one area, the horizontal forehead lines (when you raise your eyebrows) are another area and the crow’s feet around both eyes count as one area.
The price includes the follow-up two weeks later to review the treatment and any supplementary Botox that may be required on that visit.
