Skin tags, also know as Acrochordons or Cutaneous Papilloma, are small benign flaps of skin or protruding growths that are attached to the skin by a small peduncle or skin stalk.
Can be the same colour as your skin or a slightly darker and appear anywhere on the body but tend to grow under the armpits, around the groin area, on the face, neck, chest and eyelids.
Although harmless, they can catch on clothing and become inflamed and irritated or just be generally annoying! The main concern for skin tag sufferers is not medical but cosmetic. They appear at any age and are hereditary.
